Cincinnati Suffrage Walking Tour

April 18, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Cincinnati was home to some of the nation’s earliest and most progressive leaders of the women’s movement.
Many of them began as abolitionists and temperance reformers. As they fought for the rights of others, they began recognizing their own oppressed place in society.
They used the knowledge and skills they learned in those movements to help forge the early Women’s Movement in the U.S.
Come learn how families such as the Beechers, Blackwells, and Tafts contributed to the national suffrage movement and helped changed the roles of women in modern society.
This walk will last about 1.5 hours and include several stops to discuss places of importance related to suffrage history.
